Christmas Countdown Cookie Tray

I have wanted to make one of these for a long time so I finally got off my butt and did one. The tray is from the Dollar store and the boxes are matchboxes. The boxes were covered with SUs new Christmas DSP, then ribbon was tied around each box. Snowflakes were punched out of white cs using SUs snowflake punch, the numbers were stamped in ridinghood red and kiwi kiss and then iridencent ice ep was added for sparkle. I put magnets on the back of each box. The tray was done using Fall Flowers DSP and Holiday Collection DSP, the letters were done with my new toy (SUs Sizzix). SUs felt snowflakes from the new holiday mini were added and brads. I found the little penguins at Michaels and lastly added a clip to hang it.

I was lost but now I'm found !!

Well, here's what's been happening. I went to convention and had a great time - swapping, meeting people, stamping and laughing. Had my photo taken with Shelli and she signed my convention book. Brandy and I meet our up,up, up, upline Mary and some of the other girls in our line, we all went to dinner and had a wonderful time getting to know each other. I also got a really nice suprise, one of my scapbook pages was on the display boards. Too cool !!!
Then I got back and got sick, two weeks later and I thought all was well and I got a cold and was out again. now touchwood all is well and I'm finally back up and running.

Never forget

This card was done using the wax paper technique.
I used real red, brilliant blue, glossy white, confetti white & vellum cardstock.
SU markers, silver hodgepodge hardware, SU rub ons.
Brayer, real red and brilliant blue ink pads.
For the wax paper technique you need a piece of wax paper, iron and glossy cardstock.
Scrunch up the waxpaper and then put over the glossy cs, lay a dish towel over them both and iron. The wax paper will leave a great design and texture. Then brayer with desired colour. Wipe off excess ink. Use a fresh piece of wax paper each time.

Stationary box

While I waited for the SU retirement list last night I decided to finish off my stationary box. Thanks to Jackie Topa for her great tutorial.
I did mine with Ginger Blossom DS from SU, Mellow Moss 12x12 CS, Primas, Silver Hodgepodge hardware, SU Ribbon, Pretties Kit and Rub ons and a retired jumbo wheel from SU.
