Well long time no post, yes I'm a bad girl !! I have had a run of good and not so great things happening lately. I got the flu a couple of weeks ago and the cough just hangs on and on. On the good side I got a job promotion and I'm really enjoying it but I had to go from part time to full time, which is really putting a crimp in my stamping. I cased some of the layout for this card but can't remember where I saw it so to the creator thanks so much.
I have wanted to make one of these ever since I saw them on Jackie Topa's blog. She is so talented and has always been very generous about sharing her ideas. Thanks Jackie. I did my bottom differently. The 1 3/8 round punch fits the candle nicely and all I had to do was punch on each bottom flap and then glue them all together to give them strength. Then when the candle dies you can just slip it out and change battery. I can't wait to hang this on the Christmas tree.
Shannon is my 9yr old DD. She is really starting to get into stamping. She cut all the layers for the inside of the globe herself and put it all together. She did a wonderful job and I promised I would put it on here for everyone to see. She'll soon be giving Mum a run for her money.
I haven't made a Spinner Card for ages and just had to try it with this set. The Mad Griller strikes again. Stamps: King of the Grill CS: Pacific Point, Whisper White, SAB DP Ink: Stazon, Cherry & Various others for clouds Accessories: Pop Dots, Pennies, SU Window Punch
Isn't it amazing what you find when you clean up. I made this card about 3yrs ago and thought I had lost it but surprise....surprise it was somewhere safe all along. I'm always saying I can't find so and so, I must have put it somewhere safe !!! So now I know there is a place called Somewhere Safe, lol.
Miss Shannon finally got her hands on my shirt and proudly modeled it for everyone. Miss Shannon said "Mum, can I just try it on so you can see what it looks like on a person". Oh, she's good!!! I haven't seen it since.
It's been awhile but life just seems to keep getting in the way. I made 50 of these for a girl I work with, she's graduating in a couple of weeks and wanted something different for her cards. Most of the stuff is SU. Her photo will go on the side with the gold embossed wheel.
