I have wanted to make one of these ever since I saw them on Jackie Topa's blog. She is so talented and has always been very generous about sharing her ideas. Thanks Jackie. I did my bottom differently. The 1 3/8 round punch fits the candle nicely and all I had to do was punch on each bottom flap and then glue them all together to give them strength. Then when the candle dies you can just slip it out and change battery. I can't wait to hang this on the Christmas tree.
CS: Cherry Cobbler, Pear, Whisper White, SU DSP
Ink: Ridinghood Red
Accessories: SU XL Bird Punch, SU Sizzix Milk Carton, 1 3/8 Round Punch, Vanilla Spritz, Silver Spritz, Battery Candle, SU Edge Punch, Gems, Scallop Punch

Great job! It is so pretty! I'm sure it'll look lovely on your tree.
you did a fantastic job with this. I am still to chicken to try this. All the detail work you put in really makes it wonderful.
This is so gorgeous Kat! I haven't seen one of these before and it is just beautiful for a tree decoration. Makes me want to get a tree to decorate this year (which I said I was not going to do again -- time for new generation to take over). But I could still make this to give to my daughters for their decorations!
Hugs,
Sandi
I love your lit up bird house! This will be an amazing ornament for your tree!
Love this!! What a great ornament for your tree.
I'm in love with this little bird house! How on earth did you make that dripping snow?
Amanda the dripping snow is a punch. Then I sprayed it with the vanilla and silver spitz.
